How does it work?

Cost savings are gained by using an alternative route for calls to expensive international and non geographic numbers. The more international and non-geographical numbers you normally call, the more you will save

When you subscribe to the Mobile Cost Saving application, we send you a text message to your designated mobile phone number. By following the instructions within the message, the application is downloaded and installed on the mobile and is available to use whenever you make a call. We agree a call profile with you defining which calls you wish to be part of the call cost saving bundle.

You just make calls as normal. Each time you make a call, the application checks the number being called against your centrally stored routing rules and cost-based parameters. You don’t have to do anything!

How much do I save?

How does this save money?

The application uses Least Cost Routing parameters to route international and non–geographic numbers through our hosted platform, ensuring that call costs are lower than on standard BT lines. We secure the lower call rates due to the large volume of calls that pass through our platform.

What is required to install the call cost saving application?

You will receive an SMS with a link which you need to open. You will see a message asking you to confirm you are happy to connect to the server and you need to click 'continue'. You will now be connected to the server where you need to select the appropriate handset. Select the drop-down box and choose from the options shown. When the application has finished downloading, press the 'Enter' key and then exit to the home screen on your handset. Once you are back at the main screen, press the 'Option' button on your phone and then choose 'Downloads'.

Select the 'm-Call' application. When m-Call launches for the first time, it will automatically download the settings for your handset. The settings should take less than a minute to download and then you will receive a message to confirm they have been installed.

How do I activate the call cost savings?

There is no activation required – it is always on.

What support services are available?

All our services are supported by a Help Desk contactable on 0844 8800230 (08:00 - 19:00 Monday - Friday).

Do I have to do anything when I make a call to gain the call cost savings?

No - You do not need to have the m-call software running when you make a call. From the main screen, you simply key in the number you wish to call, or select the number via your 'Contacts' and initiate the call in the same way you would normally.

How will I be charged?

Startup charges and the first months service charge will be charged immediately to your credit card. Call charges and ongoing monthly subscriptions will be invoiced monthly in advance.

What happens if I change or cancel my credit card?

Your contract has a minimum duration of 12 months. However, only the first monthly payment is taken from your credit card. Additional monthly payments are invoiced to you directly and you may pay by credit card or using alternative methods. Outside of the contract period, you are free to discontinue the service at any time.

Is there a minimum term?

Yes - the transfer call from your mobile to the hosted platform will appear on your mobile phone bill as a call to a local landline number. You will achieve call costs savings because the sum of these charges plus our separately billed call tariffs should be less than the international and 0800, 0900 calls you are paying for today.

Do you guarantee cost savings?

The cost savings are estimated only, no guarantee is possible since we do not know your present call tariffs or how many 0800, 0900 or international calls you may be making. Costs savings are achievable on all these calls compared to typical market tariffs. The more calls you make the greater the potential savings.

What call charges apply?

Call charges apply to all calls made from all telephone numbers provided by Hosted Direct. A minimum charge per call of 1.0 pence per call applies.

Yes - There is a minimum charge of 1.0 pence per call. Call charges are quoted in pence per minute and priced per second unless otherwise stated.

Use of the intelligent routing functionality on your mobile is charged as a monthly fee of £8.99.

There are no inbound call charges from Hosted Direct for calls into your mobile, these charges will be made by your mobile operator.

Outbound charges are incurred for calls made out from the mobile to other numbers when they are designated within your calling profile by the prefix, the dialling code or the full number as being selected for intelligent call routing. Typically, calls included in your mobile operator bundle would be excluded from your intelligent call routing profile and high cost calls such as international and non-geographical numbers would be included for intelligent call routing.

If outbound calls are made from the mobile and routed using intelligent call routing these are chargeable at the standard Hosted Direct call rates. There is a minimum charge of 1.0 pence per call.
