A voice mailbox can be added to the Hosted Direct Auto Attendant service to give callers the option of leaving a message when no one is immediately available to take their call. You may opt to customise your Auto Attendant to allow callers to choose from a simple menu, for example: “for Sales, please press 1”, “for Production, please press 2, “please press 2, “to leave a voicemail message, please press 3”.
In the above example, you may wish to provide a separate mailbox for each of the first two options. Sales staff could be given the access details for the Sales Mailbox, Production staff would be given the access details for their own mailbox, and so on.
Each mailbox will hold up to 1200 minutes of voice messages.
