The Hosted Direct Automated Attendant Service enables high volumes of calls to be answered promptly and automatically routed to the appropriate destination or resource, based on a caller’s choices.
This frees your reception staff to handle those calls requiring a more personal touch. Incoming calls can be automatically distributed to individuals, team members or departments, according to the caller’s response to a set of menu options. For example: “Press 1 if you know the extension of the person you require, press 2 for Sales or press 3 for any other enquiry.” If appropriate, a pre-recorded announcement can be played, for example, where the caller is enquiring about office opening hours. The solution can be as simple or as complex as you like. You can automatically switch to a different set of options when needed, for instance, in the holiday period or outside of normal working hours.
The Auto Attendant system relieves the operator of repetitive incoming calls, automatically processing them quickly and efficiently. The call handling can be easily implemented and modified by you at any time, with no specialist knowledge or skills required. This helps ensures they remain relevant and reflect changing business needs to maintain a professional image.

To make it as easy as possible for you to build a professional call handling solution without requiring specialist technical knowledge, we’ve created an easy to configure range of building blocks.
From your own PC and using a secure connection over the internet, you simply join together the building blocks you need with a ‘point and click’ to create your own call flow. Then, you can record any customised announcements you want to include using any phone or your PC sound system.
Once you’ve tested your solution and made any necessary changes to ensure you’re happy with it, you’re ready to deploy it. This involves associating the Auto Attendant application with the main telephone number people will call. If required, many different Auto Attendant applications can be run at the same time, each associated with a different telephone number.
A monthly subscription fee of £18 is payable for this service, plus call charges. Includes 1000 minutes per month of inbound calls.

Yes. Numbers are subject to availability and the ordering process takes from 7 to 10 days to complete. Please contact us on info@hosteddirect.com and quote ‘Memorable Number’ and we will contact you with a list of numbers to choose from.
Your account and phone number will be activated within 3 working days of sign up.
The number you receive upon sign-up is your own personal and dedicated local or non-geographic number. As long as you have paid for at least one month of service, you may keep your number.
To answer incoming calls, you will need a phone - that could be a cell phone, your home phone, an office phone or any other existing line. You will also need an internet connection to make any changes to how your Auto Attendant service operates.

No. You will not be charged during the 30-day free trial. You will be invoiced monthly in advance for use of the service after the first 30 days.
The trial product is the full Auto Attendant service with no restrictions or limitations.
There is a 12 month minimum commitment. You can pay as you go (month-to-month) and can cancel at any time after the initial 12 months.

Your Auto Attendant is plug-and-go. It has a simple-to-use and intuitive user interface through a web browser. Call Flows are drawn by dragging and dropping using a library of building blocks, each of which has its own individual properties and associated actions.
Auto Attendant will work with any PBX, IP-PBX or hosted voice service.
No – Phrases can be recorded from any telephone. The recording can be downloaded as a .wav file and played through your PC speakers using your default media player (Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, etc).
Startup charges and the first months service charge will be charged immediately to your credit card. Call charges and ongoing monthly subscriptions will be invoiced monthly in advance.
Your contract has a minimum duration of 12 months. However, only the first monthly payment is taken from your credit card. Additional monthly payments are invoiced to you directly and you may pay by credit card or using alternative methods. Outside of the contract period, you are free to discontinue the service at any time.

The Auto Attendant Starter Pack provides 90 days of free phone and email service from our Help Desk to assist you in setting up your solution. Calls outside this period are through our standard telephone support line. All our services are supported by a Help Desk contactable on 0844 8800230 (08:00 - 19:00 Monday - Friday).
Call charges apply to all calls made from all telephone numbers provided by us. A minimum charge per call of 1.0 pence applies.
Yes - There is a minimum charge of 1.0 pence per call. Call charges are quoted in pence per minute and priced per second unless otherwise stated.
If you are using an existing number, then your existing connection will be sufficient. If you are selecting to use one of our telephone numbers, then a standard broadband connection and a router with an Ethernet (RJ-45) port is required at your site. If your existing internet connection does not have a suitable quality of service, we will be happy to provide you with a quote for a business broadband line.
The service will continue to function as normal. Charges for the service will be invoiced to you monthly in advance. Standard contract terms apply after the trial period and there will be a minimum 12 month contract period.
Call charges apply during the 30 day free trial period but no charges will be made for the service. See our competitive tariff rates on the call charges tab.
You can cancel your subscription at any time during the trial. Send an email to info@hosteddirect.com with your unique id or your name, address and telephone number and we will confirm the trial termination by email.

Use of the Auto Attendant is charged as a monthly fee of £18.
There are no inbound call charges from Hosted Direct for calls into the Auto Attendant.
Outbound charges are incurred for calls made out from the Auto Attendant to other numbers when these are not extensions of the FREE Business Line Service provided by Hosted Direct. Calls outbound from ten Auto Attendant to the Hosted Direct Business Line Service are free of charge. Other calls are chargeable for instance daytime calls passed to a UK sales office will incur a 0.9 pence per minute outbound call charge.
If outbound calls are made from the Auto Attendant DDI these calls are chargeable at the same hosted direct call rates. There is a minimum charge of 1.0 pence per call.
